No experience necessary---assist with Set-up from Noon to 6 pm on March 24th and/or assist with the Tournament on March 25th and/or March 26th. Multiple shift options available---1/2 day or full day. Volunteers to assist with any aspect of the tournament---Lane Officials/Line Judge, registration check-in, set-up and take-down and more. Approximately 5000 students will participate and shoot throughout the 2 days.

We are looking for friendly Park Hosts to join us January through April of 2025, to assist with daily operations at Bonham State Park.Duties may include, but are not limited to:- Campground checks- Restroom cleaning- Group facility cleanup- Grounds maintenance- Trail maintenance- Customer service- Fee collectionDuties offered to Park Hosts are dependent on Park needs and skills of the volunteer.Required Qualifications: Must be 18 years or older. A Criminal background check is required.Preferred Qualifications: Experience with customer service and ability to effectively communicate with the public, other volunteers, and staff. Experience with basic maintenance and custodial tasks in state parks or other camping facilities. A commitment to protecting the Park's natural and cultural resources and educating visitors on their part in conservation of those resources.Time Commitment and Benefits: Park Hosts must commit to a minimum stay of 3 months and a minimum of 24 hours service per week for an individual or 32 hours service per week for 2 people. Hosts will need to provide their own camper or RV. In exchange for your time and volunteer service, Park Hosts will have full RV hookups at their site (water, electric, and sewer) and have 30-amp and 50-amp connections available for your stay. There is onsite access to a washer and dryer. Be aware that cell phone coverage is not strong in our area; AT&T has the best service in the Park.Please contact Bonham State Park for more information.

The Buffalo Soldier Heritage and Outreach program is looking for you. The Texas Buffalo Soldiers program provides educational experiences that connect underrepresented populations with the outdoors through interpretive story telling of the Buffalo Soldiers, the country's first professional African American soldiers. The Texas Buffalo Solders program brings history to life with stories, costumes and tools. At one of our programs, you can learn how to track an animal, and fish with a cane pole. Volunteers at Daingerfield State Park help us preserve the rich cultural and natural heritage of Texas. Daingerfield State Park is one of Texas'' oldest state parks. Even though this Civilian Conservation Corps built park is almost 80 year old, it had a multi-million dollar facelift in 2010 which is evident with the new bathhouses, restored historic Pavilion, and the multiple full hook-up campsites. Visitor activities are focused in and around the park's 80 acre lake with swimming, boating and fishing activities. Hiking around the lake on the Rustling Leaves Trail or reaching the summit on the Mountain View Trail are also important visitor activities.We are looking for volunteers who can help us with a multitude of projects. Some examples include:- Trail Clean up- Assisting with or leading interpretive programs or activities- Helping decorate, working during, or cleaning up after special events (Valentine's Day Dance, Christmas in the Park, Halloween Event, and others)- Painting - Splitting wood- Service Projects- Your Passion!

This position will provide the opportunity to become familiar with multiple aspects of the Texas Parks and Wildlife operations through hands on participation.Volunteer Intern will receive an orientation from the perspective of several different staff positions, including the superintendent, office manager, maintenance staff, park interpreter and law enforcement. The intern may rotate duties with different staff, however all duties will come with clear instruction from park superintendent. The majority of the duties will consist of designing, assisting and leading outreach programs to a variety of audiences such as park guests. Will work as a Customer Service Clerk at our Park HQ and provide park orientaiton for incoming visitors.
