Daingerfield State Park - Park Volunteers

Sponsoring Program: Daingerfield State Park

Volunteers at Daingerfield State Park help us preserve the rich cultural and natural heritage of Texas. Daingerfield State Park is one of Texas'' oldest state parks. Even though this Civilian Conservation Corps built park is almost 80 year old, it had a multi-million dollar facelift in 2010 which is evident with the new bathhouses, restored historic Pavilion, and the multiple full hook-up campsites. Visitor activities are focused in and around the park's 80 acre lake with swimming, boating and fishing activities. Hiking around the lake on the Rustling Leaves Trail or reaching the summit on the Mountain View Trail are also important visitor activities.

We are looking for volunteers who can help us with a multitude of projects. Some examples include:

- Trail Clean up
- Assisting with or leading interpretive programs or activities
- Helping decorate, working during, or cleaning up after special events (Valentine's Day Dance, Christmas in the Park, Halloween Event, and others)
- Painting
- Splitting wood
- Service Projects
- Your Passion!

Groups or volunteers can contact the park to set up a time to volunteer or attend scheduled public volunteer days and special events. If you would like to be put on the park's volunteer mailing list apply online or contact the Park at (903-645-2921).
