Sponsoring Program: Angler Education

This free class is designed to introduce participants ages 6 and up to the sport of fishing using fun, hands-on activities.

Volunteers are requested to help teach regulations and ethics; safety; rods, reels, and terminal tackle; fishing knots; assembling a spin cast rod and reel; inshore salt water fish identification/habitat/handling/measuring; equipping your tackle box; casting instruction/practice; a tour of the fish hatchery; and, weather permitting, a chance to catch and release a fish at Sea Center Texas.

Please bring water, snacks and a lunch to eat on site. Expect to be outside about half the time and dress accordingly.
