Copper Breaks State Park is seeking energetic, friendly, and outgoing Volunteers to assist in park office operations.


Responsibilities:
Work with park staff to assist day to day functions of the park office by:
-Independently collect entrance and camping fees
-Sell store merchandise
-Answering phones
-Orient visitors of the park; recommending trails and campsites
-Provide excellent customer service
-Restroom and facility cleaning duties.
-Litter control
-Other duties based on interests, skills, and park needs.

These responsibilities include the use of multi-line phone system; use of computers, printers & copiers, other office machines; handling cash; and radio communication.



Requirements:
-Must support the TPWD and State Park mission by complying with all Agency, Division, and Branch rules, regulations, and procedures.
-Work a minimum of 24 volunteer hours per month.
-Must pass background check.
-Minimum Age: 18

Office Clerk Volunteer will report for volunteer duty at the Park Headquarters Office during office hours and should expect to work on weekends, evenings and holidays based on park needs. Hours will be sheduled based on Park needs and volunteer availability.

Copper Breaks State Park is 1,899 acres located 12 miles south of Quanah and 9 miles north of Crowell off State Highway 6 in Hardeman County.

Copper Breaks State Park is a designated dark sky park for stargazing. The park offers trails for hiking, biking and horseback riding, fishing in Lake Copper Breaks or Big Pond, kayaking/canoeing on Lake Copper Breaks. A portion of the official Texas Longhorn herd roams in areas of the park, giving visitors a chance to experience this Texas legend.
