Sponsoring Program: Devils River State Natural Area-Del Norte Unit

Get to know Devils River SNA- by becoming a trail building volunteer!

Under the supervision of Park Staff, assist with the devolpment of new trail system.

Trail Maintenance Requirements:
Attend Safety Orienation and pass a background check.
Commitment of 6 hours of trail building.
Minimum age: 16

Duties:
Trimming of vegetation
Moving heavy objects
Ability to hike moderate to long distance.
Ability to work under adverse conditions(heat/cold).
Able to use of loopers, rakes, weedeaters, and other hand tools.

Recommended Items:
Close shoes (required)
Breathable long sleeve shirts
Pants
Sun hat/neck protection
Hand gloves
Sunscreen
Bug spray
Water and reusable water bottles for refills
Bring snacks and sack lunches
