Curatorial Volunteer-Battleship TEXAS 2024

Do you have a knowledge of and passion for history? Do you love exploring archives and getting your hands on history? If so, then the Battleship TEXAS Curatorial Volunteer position is the perfect fit for you!

Battleship TEXAS is looking for detail-oriented individuals with computer skills, a passion for history, and a love for state parks to:

*Support the Curators with object documentation, cataloging and inventorying,

*Photograph objects and scan documents,

*Edit images for upload into the site's collections database, and

*Clean and stage exhibit spaces.

Volunteers will receive training in object handling and other best practices for curatorial work. Volunteers will also have access to resources and tools to continue to learn about the ship.

Positions are available on weekdays.

A criminal background check is required.
