Sponsoring Program: Abilene State Park

Please check out our Customer Service, Interpretation, and Maintenance volunteer postings for signing up. The General Volunteer position is only for those that cannot meet the minimum hour requirements for the above mentioned positions.

General volunteers assist park staff with a variety of duties including, but not limited to: assisting with interpretive programs, general office and clerical duties, answering telephones, assting at special events, community outreach, cleaning facilities, litter pick-up, mowing grass, trimming trees, and trailwork. A criminal background check is required (at no cost to you).
