Park Host- Field Operations-

If you love the outdoors, we have the opportunities for you!

The Field Operations Host assists park maintenance staff with facility and campgrounds upkeep and repair, landscaping, litter pickup, and special projects.

Duties include but are not limited to campground maintenance, restroom and facility cleaning, trail maintenance, cabin cleaning/inspection, wood splitting, and more.

Park hosts must agree to work at least 24 hours per week with a maximum of 32 hours per week giving you plenty of time to explore the park and surrounding communities. A 50-amp, full hook-up campsite is provided by the park.

Prior landscaping, carpentry, mechanical, and plumbing skills are a plus. Criminal Background check is required.

Martin Creek Lake State Park is nestled in the East Texas Pineywoods along the shore of Martin Creek Lake known for its excellent fishing, wildlife viewing, and historic trails.

Park is located off Highway 43, 5 miles from the town of Tatum, TX, 25 minutes from Longview, TX, and 1 hour from Shreveport, LA.

This park does have an invasive Argentine Ant population. Park will help with best practices for keeping ants out of camper and helping to exterminate upon departure.
