Sponsoring Program: Palo Duro Canyon State Park

Partners In Palo Duro Canyon is formed as an educational and charitable support group for Palo Duro Canyon State Park. Through recruitment and organization of volunteers, finances and resources, Partners in Palo Duro Canyon Foundation will enhance the educational, interpretive and recreational opportunities of the Park.

Volunteers are an essential key to our success at the Canyon Gallery/Visitors Center in Palo Duro Canyon. Without the volunteers, we could not meet the goals that we have or could we accommodate, meet and greet all visitors who come to our park. Not only do you have the opportunity to meet some very unique individuals but also to get to know our great park staff. Often times, there will be an educational program that is held within our Visitor Center that you will have the chance to listen in on and learn something new about our beautiful State Park.

Our volunteers sign up to work 4 hour shifts (either 9:00 am to 1:00 pm or 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm) Monday through Saturday and Sundays (1:00 pm 5:00 pm). There are experienced individuals as well as training videos waiting to help get you up to speed on information and the history of our store and our park. Each of our volunteers receives credit for hours worked and will receive a gift card at the end of each fiscal year for the amount of hours worked. This gift card is for purchases in our Canyon Gallery gift shop. In addition, volunteers also receive a 20% discount off of one item purchased in the store.
