Sponsoring Program: Devils River State Natural Area-Del Norte Unit

We are looking for capable and self-motivated Park Hosts for the remote and beautiful Devils River Del Norte Unit.

The ideal candidate is friendly, flexible, and able to bring a positive attitude. All hosts interact with the public. If you love the outdoors and hitting a trail or the river, you will be a good match at our natural area.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Provide a warm friendly greeting to our visitors


• Assist visitors with the check-in procedure & orientation


• Assist rangers with cleaning restrooms, shower building and bunkhouse


• Campsite maintenance


• Working with Schools Groups, Special Events, and Interpretive Programs


• Trail and facility projects


• Maintenance projects


• Trash pickup on trails


• Other duties based on interests, skills, and SNA needs

REQUIREMENTS:

• Criminal background check


• These positions are typically 3-month commitments


• Minimum weekly hours - 25 hrs (32 hrs - double occupancy)
