2019 Fall - Maintenance Host - Blanco State Park

Blanco State Park is looking for volunteers with maintenance, electrical work, carpentry or manual labor experience and a love for state parks to support the maintenance team.  Your time, energy, and skills will support the park team in managing and conserving the park’s natural and cultural resources and keep the park safe and usable for visitors.  


Volunteer duties will include: Representing TPWD State Parks in a positive manner; maintaining cleanliness of assigned areas, including keeping bathrooms cleaned and stocked and collecting trash from day use areas; assisting with maintenance operations as assigned by maintenance specialist or volunteer supervisor; providing excellent customer service to park visitors, including providing general information and assistance to park visitors; and maintaining cleanliness of assigned host site.


Volunteers will receive safety and equipment training and will learn about park maintenance operations. Positions are available throughout the week.  A criminal background check is required. 


Benefits:  In exchange for a minimum of 25 volunteer hours per week, you are provided with a 50 amp full hook-up.  You also receive the opportunity to play a critical role in the conservation and stewardship of the natural and cultural resources of Texas!
