Sponsoring Program: Mustang Island State Park

As an Educational Outreach Volunteer of Mustang Island, you will assist with bringing nature to the classrooms of local elementary and secondary schools, assisting with field trips at the park, and tabling at community events.

Programs include:
- Aquatic science projects
- Shells and sea beans
- Environmental science activities
- Mustang Island guided beach walks

Volunteers will recieve training in interpretation and community outreach. They will have access to resources and tools to continue to learn about the park and conservation programs. Positions are available throughout the week during standard business hours. Volunteers are asked to commit to 6 months for a minimum of one 4 hour shift biweekly. A criminal background check is required.
