Sponsoring Program: Mission Tejas State Park
We have a need for a motivated volunteer/volunteers to Park Host for 2023-2025!
Mission Tejas State Park is seeking energetic, friendly, and outgoing Park Hosts to assist in all aspects of park operations. Previous Park Host experience preferred, but not required. Mission Tejas State Park is open to the visiting public year round. Park Hosts should expect to work weekends and holidays.
Hosts are a vital part of the park's operation. As Park Hosts, you will have the opportunity to meet new people and help visitors have a memorable experience. Park Hosts will assist park staff with the day-to-day operations of Mission Tejas State Park.
Duties include:
- Campsite checks
- General cleaning of facilities (restrooms and campsites)
- Grounds maintenance, including but not limited to, mowing, removing trash and painting
- Assisting park staff by providing quality customer service
- Operating our NEW museum
- Various small projects as needed in the park.
There are also opportunities to assist with park interpretive and outreach programs.
In exchange for a minimum of 24 hours per week of work (per campsite/couple) Park Hosts will be provided with a full hook-up campsite (Water/Sewer/Electric-50/30 amp). Wi-Fi is available within the park. Verizon and T-Mobile cell service work best in the park, other carriers have limited or no signal.
Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years old. Criminal background checks are required for all persons living/staying in a Host site. Park owned vehicles are available to Park Hosts for the performance of Host duties.
