Pedernales Falls State Park is a beautiful example of Texas Hill Country. The Park is 5211 acres and offers 40 miles of hiking, mountain biking and equestrian trails. The Pedernales River flows through the park as well, offering stunning views, fishing, and swimming.

There are 69 water/electric campsites, 20 Primitive Backpacking campsites, 1 Primitive Youth Group Campsite, and 1 Equestrian Campsite. We rely heavily on volunteers to help clean and maintain our 6 running water bathrooms, Bird Blinds, and campsites.

As much of the volunteer work here happens over a large area, we assign UTVs (Gas powered carts) to select volunteers to aid in getting around the park. Camp-Hosts will get a electric cart. All volunteers will also be assigned a Hand-held radio to communicate to Park Staff and Law Enforcement.

Volunteers also receive a Parks and Wildlife volunteer T-Shirt and Uniform for use while volunteering hours. On top of normal cleaning and maintenance, you may also be approached by visitors with questions about the Park, Park rules, and general wildlife/history questions and you will have to represent the park in your answers.
