Interpretive Host - Palo Duro Canyon State Park

Palo Duro Canyon State Park, located in the beautiful and colorful second largest canyon in the United States, is searching for volunteer park hosts to assist with educational programming.  In exchange for 24 hours of volunteer service per week, you will receive a full-hookup campsite located on the rim of this amazing canyon.  This host's primary duties will consist of assisting the park interpreter with ranger talks, nature hikes, and other programs for school children and the public.  Other duties will include assisting with cleaning of the park's cabins, laundry, and assisting with customer service at park headquarters. 


Hookups include water, 50-amp electrical service, and sewer.  Laundry facilities and internet access are available in the park as well.

Palo Duro Canyon spans 120 miles across the high plains of the Texas Panhandle.  The state park encompasses 28,000 acres and includes over 50 miles of hiking, biking, and equestrian trails.  The park is located only 12 miles from the town of Canyon and about 20 miles from the city of Amarillo.
