Sponsoring Program: Blanco State Park

Overview: Blanco State Park is looking for friendly, motivated, and energetic park hosts.

Park hosts at Blanco State Park will volunteer for a minimum of 25 hours per week while living in a beautiful Texas Hill Country campground. As a park host, you will support TPWD's mission by assisting with the park's day-to-day functions and providing outstanding service to park visitors at the visitor center.

Volunteer duties will include Representing TPWD State Parks in a positive and professional manner, checking visitors in to the park, selling store merchandise, providing excellent customer service to park visitors, including providing general information and assistance to park visitors, and maintaining the cleanliness of the assigned host site.

Requirements: Preferred experience with customer service and ability to effectively communicate with public, other volunteers, and staff.

Benefits: Park hosts are provided with a 50 amp full hook-up. The Blanco River runs through the park and offers easy water access on hot summer days.

Hosts play a critical role in conserving and stewarding the natural and cultural resources of the beautiful Blanco River and its wildlife.
