Falcon State Park - Community Service Volunteers

Sponsoring Program: Falcon State Park

Come to be a volunteer at Falcon State Park where you can assist the park with various opportunities depending on your interest and experience. Special skills are highly desired. Training is Provided.

Program opportunities include:



- General maintenance

- Invasive plant removal
- Butterfly Garden maintenance

- Help maintain wildlife viewing blind, water stations, and bird feeding
- Park trails maintenance (trimming and removal of trash)
- Visitor center maintenance (sweeping and mopping facility floors and restroom, replenishing restroom supplies, cleaning windows, and countertops)

- Painting
- Cleaning Fish Cleaning Station
- Cleaning facility awnings/canopies
- Washing state vehicles
- Assisting with special events
-Interpretive assignments such as school programs, field trips and outreaches.
-Guest services: answering phones, cleaning and restocking the gift shop, printing copies and sorting files.

- Other duties as assigned

Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision and able to follow TPWD safety standards and procedures.

Criminal background check required.

Minimum age: 17 years old
