Park Host - North & South Gate 2018/2019

Welcome to beautiful West Texas!

San Angelo State Park's Park Hosts assist park staff with the day-to-day operations of San Angelo State Park.

Duties may include, but are not limited to; the collection of fees for day use and camping visitors at the North Shore and/or South Shore gatehouses, morning and evening opening and closing of gates, routine bathroom, facility and campground maintenance, weed-eating and mowing the park camp areas, litter pickup, assisting park staff with various maintenance projects and general customer service.

Park Host schedules for the gatehouse operations will be coordinated with other park hosts but may include any day Monday-Sunday with hours from 8am-7pm.

Hosts will be provided with a 50/30 Amp full hook-up campsite in exchange for a minimum 24 hours per week. Hosts are asked to work a minimum of two months, but based upon park needs there is flexibility in scheduling.

South Shore entrance has immediate access to the lake, wildlife viewing area and the southern trail heads. North Shore entrance enjoys a little more shade during the summer months and is 8.5 miles from the South Shore entrance.
