At Bastrop State Park visitors will get to witness and take hand in protecting the unique Lost Pines of Texas and remarkable historic CCC buildings.
As one of only five CCC parks in the nation with the National Historic Landmark Status, visitors get an incredible experience of connecting to our past and history!
Although our park experienced a devestating wild fire in 2011, it brings another unique experience to our visitors! Visitors still get to experience tall, fragrant Loblolly pines that survived the fire while also learning about and seeing the areas of regrowth and rehabilitation!
Another wonderfuly unique part of the park is that the endangered Houston Toad calls our park home! The park has been designated as critical habitat for the Houston Toad and before the fire had the largest remaining population.

We are a five minute drive from historic downtown Bastrop, and ten minute drive from big shopping centers and dining experiences in Bastrop. Bastrop SP is also within a 45 minute drive to downtown Austin and only a 20 minute drive away from the Austin Airport!
