Fort Parker State Park is known for the most gorgeous sunsets in Texas! The park boasts 750-acre Fort Parker Lake, 3-acre spring-fed Lake Springfield, AND the Navasota River as well as lovely mature trees and several varied hiking trails. The park host program allows you to live, work, and play in our beautiful diverse park!

As a Park Host, you will work a minimum of 24 hours per week in exchange for a 50/30-amp full hookup RV site. We provide the site, you provide the RV. You will also have access to an onsite washer and dryer. Be aware, wireless service can be spotty in the park.

Your work will include greeting the public and helping set the tone for a pleasant stay. You will aid park staff in the areas of grounds keeping, litter pickup, cleaning facilities including restrooms, trail maintenance and a variety of special park projects. You may also assist with educational programs and provide tours.

Fort Parker State Park is located 45 min from Waco, 40 min from Corsicana, and an hour and a half from Dallas. The park is sandwiched between the towns of Mexia and Groesbeck. Mexia has an HEB, Walmart, Tractor Supply, Ace Hardware, and Starbucks.
