CURRENT OPENINGS: September 2023-November 2023

Do you have a passion for birds? Do you love sharing your passion with diverse groups of people and providing a beautiful place for birds to live? Join Lake Corpus Christi State Park as a seasonal Birding Park Host!

This position is active from November 1st-March 31st. Volunteers in this position must stay a minimum of 3 months and have the option to stay the whole 5 months.

This is not an exhaustive list of possible responsibilities, and other birding ideas are welcome (such as other birding programs/walks, bird photography for the park, etc.).

While anything can be learned, volunteers best suited for this opportunity have extensive knowledge of birds that frequent Texas and our area and have experience leading groups of people on bird tours/walks.

This position must complete at least 25 hours of volunteer service each week and will report to the Park Interpreter. Park Hosts stay in a campsite during their time at the park. Depending on availability, campsites are either water and electric or full hookup (water/electric/sewer).
